Writing this while I’m leaving Penang on the ferry. This cafe has been around for 9 months only thus, may not have as many reviews as other cafes but trust me when I say this, my experience was perfect! I had walked by this spot for lunch at Mojo Jojo (another fantastic albeit expensive restaurant) and it looked like a heritage building so I was convinced. Walked in to this beautiful and spacious cafe with the most delectable looking pastries. They’re famous for their peach strudel but I got the apple one instead as I like the slight crunch it provides. Even though it was a crunchy pastry, it wasn’t too messy to eat. The cream’s texture and sweetness were too perfect! Another unique drink to try would be the Cendol latte. Refreshing to say the least! Already missing this spot. Wish they opened earlier so that I could have one last bite before bidding farewell to this beautiful place!

Finally I don’t need to go to KL to fix my cravings for their lovely pastries. Service is great! We were welcomed by a waiter at the entrance. They immediately served plain water when we sit. Bought their sourdough bread and they can help u to slice it. All pastries are yummy as usual. Food also great. But their salad was a bit down. I only found one piece of rock salad :(

We were really impressed by our waiter, Danish. He served us with the warmest heart and genuinely made us feel welcomed. He also recommended the restaurant’s famous dishes in such a kind and pleasant way that we could truly feel his sincerity. The food here is fresh and delicious. The portions are generous—big enough to share between two people. We ordered sourdough, croissants, fish & chips, and a latte, and everything tasted wonderful. We’ve decided to come back again this weekend because the staff are not only friendly but also provide excellent service. Highly recommended!

We came here for pastries and dessert during tea time around 4pm. Luckily, it wasn’t too crowded, so we got seated right away at a table beside the kitchen where they were baking pizzas and wood-fired bread. The smell and look of the bread and pizza were really tempting, but we were already full, so we only ordered a blueberry cake and a peach strudel. Both desserts didn’t disappoint — the strudel had perfectly crispy, buttery layers balanced with sweet and tangy peach slices on top, and the blueberry cake was creamy and refreshing. Definitely planning to come back again for a proper lunch or dinner next time! Just before we left, we decided to try one more dessert — the carrot cake. It immediately became the best dessert among all the ones we had earlier. The cake was dense and full of flavour, packed with dried berries and nuts. The cream cheese topping added another layer of richness, creating a perfect balance of sweetness from the berries, saltiness from the nuts, tanginess from the cream cheese, and the dense texture of the cake itself.

I had such a wonderful dining experience at Kenny Hills Penang. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the unique charm of the place — it’s a beautifully restored standalone English-style building that immediately sets a warm and elegant atmosphere. The architecture itself gives the restaurant a special character, making it feel both classic and inviting. The service was excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely made me feel welcome throughout the meal. They were quick to assist with recommendations and ensured everything was served perfectly. The environment is just as memorable — spacious, cozy, and full of character. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a relaxed brunch, a casual afternoon tea, or even a more special gathering with friends and family. Overall, Kenny Hills Penang is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience. With its combination of great service, beautiful surroundings, and the unique English-inspired building, it’s a must-visit in Penang.

This bustling two-storey cafe was packed with people. We ordered a macadamia cheesecake and a black forest cake. While I'm not typically a fan of the milky taste in cheesecakes, the macadamia cheesecake was an exception—it had a subtle salty flavor and was loaded with nuts. The black forest cake, on the other hand, was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet.

Dining at Kenny Hills Bakers is generally a delightful experience, especially if you enjoy artisanal pastries and a charming café ambience. The atmosphere is cozy yet stylish, with spacious indoor and outdoor seating, making it a popular spot for brunch or coffee catch-ups. Their signature bakes like the Peach Strudel, Salted Caramel Chocolate Tart, and fresh sourdough bread consistently receive praise for quality and taste. The food menu is diverse, offering everything from hearty breakfast dishes to wood-fired pizzas, though some diners feel the prices can be steep for the portion sizes. Service is usually friendly and attentive, but can be slower during peak hours, especially on weekends when the café gets quite busy. For the best experience, it’s recommended to visit during off-peak times and come early if you're hoping to try their best-selling pastries before they sell out. Overall, it's a great place for those who appreciate well-crafted food in a relaxed, aesthetic setting.
